When I think of “trailblazers”, what comes to mind are stories I have read of the pioneers who headed west across America, creating the routes others would eventually follow. Where some might have seen no possible way, others forged onward around and over the obstacles that lay between them and their desired destination. Today, what we can drive in a matter of hours took weeks and months to travel where roads had not yet been established. We might also think of one — with machete in hand — cutting their way through a thick jungle.
The greatest “trailblazer” is God. When Israel saw themselves with no way to go, God provided a way through the Sea and provided escape from Egyptian bondage. God also provided a way through the Jordan River into the promised land. Israel was not to look back for a return to Egypt, but to press on in the way God provided toward the destiny He desired for His people. If it is a direction that needs to be taken, God can be depended on to provide the way!
In Isaiah we read. . .
“(19) Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19 ESV)
Even in the “wilderness” of life, we are to continue looking to God for the guidance He provides. There may be times we see no way, but God can still provide the way to get us where He desires us to be. When we find ourselves in the desert of sin and temptation, He will provide a way of escape. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Let us look for it and use it! In coming to the Father, Jesus is The Way (John 14:6) provided for us to reach Him.
A short hymn I have fallen in love with written by Don Moen titled, “God Will Make a Way” is as follows:
“God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way for me;
He will be my guide,
Hold me closely to His side,
With love and strength for each new day,
He will make a way, He will make a way.”

May we trust God’s ability to provide the way to get us from wherever we are to where He wants us. He is able if we are willing to follow.
Have a great day WALKING THE PATH GOD OPENS BEFORE US!
