Again, when we are used, abused, and accused, though we might not desire to be treated in such ways, how can God be glorified through those moments? How we respond can draw attention to the relationship we have with the Lord and that we seek to live by His standards regardless of how we are treated.
When we are accused, let us consider if there is enough evidence to convict us for being a Christian. Though others may reject Christ, we can rejoice when our link to Him is being duly noted.
Peter urged. . .
“(11) Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. (12) Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.” (1 Peter 2:11-12 ESV)
The day will come when the world will acknowledge the truth about Christ. Pray that will be sooner rather than later. Living for Christ’s glory as we walk in His steps through life (i.e. 1 Peter 2:20-23) will provide the opportunity for our good deeds in His name to be noted. May our genuine identity with Christ be clearly seen with the hope others will be drawn to be so identified as well!
Have a great day EXPERIENCING BEING ACCUSED AS OPPORTUNITY TO GLORIFY GOD!
