There are those who seem to continually view their actions as a means to an end; something to ultimately benefit themselves. They will strategize when to do something for or say something to others when they feel it will benefit themselves the most; get the most acknowledgement out of it or something in return. What’s it all about for us?
Someone has said, “Shoutout to people whose kindness isn’t a strategy, but a way of life!” (original source unknown)
Can we not simply be kind to be kind? Are we living mindful of this being about what we simply are to be — individuals called to holy living who possess the character of kindness — rather than merely performing something? Having God’s Spirit within us means our way of life will reveal that presence by the fruit of kindness produced. (Galatians 5:22) To love as we have been called to love includes being kind. (1 Corinthians 13:4) Also, let us remember it is to be a part of our adornment as Christians (Colossians 3:12); not a put on, but put on and so clothed for kind living!
Writing to the church at Ephesus, Paul urged. . .
“(32) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32 ESV)
Being kind! May that simply be the kind of people we are to the glory of God and the benefit of others!
Have a great day BEING GOD’S WAY TO BE!
