What is the message our life is conveying? Consider three reasons why we should be concerned about what the areas of our life noted yesterday say regarding what we think of God.
1. Because our soul is at stake! It is very easy to clutter up our life with so many things that we begin to crowd God out of His rightful place in our life.
2. Because it can impact the destiny of others in our family! Are we a help or a hindrance in maintaining a proper spiritual focus within our family?
3. Because we may draw others to or repel others from God! If we are truly children of God, are we of the character others would like to share? Or are we leaving a view that could cause others to say, “If that’s what a child of God is like I want nothing of it.”?
Jesus stated it pretty succinctly when He said. . .
“(30) Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” (Matthew 12:30 ESV)
Where is the gray area there? This really points out the need for a serious focus on day-to-day living. What is our life’s message saying regarding what we think of God?
Let us prayerfully, sincerely, and seriously take a look at our life. What does it say? It’s important to each of us as individuals. It’s important for our family. It’s important for our community. It’s important to God. It’s important to His purpose.
Have a great day SAYING, “GOD FIRST”, WITH OUR LIFE!
