We have noted the word of God is to be taken; taken into our own heart and mind and taken to the world. Yesterday we considered be mindful of taking God’s Word into the world by the manner in which we live our daily life in conformity to His Will. Another way in which we take God’s Word to the world is by sharing verbally what we have come to know from it.
Even in the face of the ill-treatment that might be experienced in the world, Peter urged. . .
“(15) but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, (16) having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.” (1 Peter 3:15-16 ESV)
What we have come to know — that which our faith and hope are based upon — let us remain prepared to share with others as opportunities to do so arise. As we go through life, we are to take the Good News of Jesus with us to share. The door for such sharing (even with the help of others perhaps more equipped to do so) begins by each of us remaining ready and willing to share with others the dynamic difference the Lord has made in our individual life and the eternal hope that encourages us onward and upward! May we take those words of hope to share with those around us!
Have a great day PREPARED TO SHARE THE HOPE THAT IS OURS!
